Governance

The Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s (CPA) governance establishes the mechanisms by which members have a say in policy and affairs, and hold leaders to account for the achievements of the association.

CPA members are entitled to be heard and to have access to sufficient information to make an informed decision about the value and success of their professional association. To achieve this, CPA members have established a constitution in the form of bylaws, rules and regulations.

Bylaws, rules and regulations

CPA members are responsible for the bylaws. Only members can ratify bylaw changes.

Bylaws

The CPA Board of Directors is responsible for rules and regulations. Members are entitled to know about modifications in a timely manner, and can question the Board on the appropriateness of any changes at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Annual General Meeting

The next Annual General Meeting will be held May 26, 2013 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal. Members wishing to submit a resolution for consideration at the meeting can do so by following the resolution process.
